The UK Greater Bunter Sandstone area
The UK case study is the Greater Bunter Sandstone (GBS) area offshore eastern UK. The GBS area hosts a number of structures potentially suitable for CO2 storage in a saline aquifer in the Bunter sandstone.
The UK Greater Bunter Sandstone area contains multiple closures in the 1000 – 1500 m depth range within the Bunter Sandstone Formation of the UK Southern North Sea.
